Yoga for Labor and Delivery
with Adele Loux-Turner – Sat. July 13, 6-9pm

Learn how to apply yogic breath, movement, and relaxation techniques to the process of labor. We will discuss all of the stages of labor and practice methods that both you and your birth partner can use to support the challenges of each stage. These techniques can be used in any type of birth setting, with or without medication, in the hospital or at home. Adele Loux-Turner leads the class, drawing on her years of experience and training as a prenatal yoga instructor and labor doula. $65/couple. Preregister at AYC or by email.

AYC Yoga Teacher Training: Fall 2013
Oct-Feb – starts October 19

The AYC Yoga Teacher Training is designed to provide a vehicle for honing personal practice and cultivating a knowledge base from which to teach breath-centered, therapeutic yoga. There are 12 scheduled workshops that take place on weekends. The rest of the components are customizable, meaning it can fit to your schedule and be completed in your own time. The idea is that you can explore a deeper interest in practicing & teaching yoga without having to suspend or disrupt your life (estimated time for completion is 4-6 months.) Adele Loux-Turner began teaching in 2001 (certified Integral Yoga Institute.) In 2006, Adele trained in prenatal yoga at New York Yoga. She studied yoga for labor and delivery with Beth Donnelly Caban and “mommy and me” yoga with Jyothi Larson in 2007. She trained as a labor support doula through DONA International and has since assisted several births.
Salvador Martinez began his practice and training in 1995, exploring a variety of disciplines including Ashtanga-vinyasa, Iyengar, Bikram and Shadow. Salvador received teaching certification from Sonic Yoga in NYC and through the
